Oppo K3 teaser page on Amazon India has been updated to reveal the launch date. The phone is now confirmed to launch in India on July 19. The e-commerce site is now taking registrations of interest as well and has made the ‘Notify Me' button live. The Oppo K3 was launched in May in China, and now it is set to arrive in the country next week. Key specifications include pop-up selfie camera setup, in-display fingerprint sensor, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC, VOOC 3.0 fast charging support, and up to 256GB of onboard storage.

Oppo K3 is set to launch in India on July 19, and it will be available on Amazon India. The dedicated page is taking registrations of interest, and pricing and availability details will be announced on the launch day. The company should likely list launch offers as well. The Amazon listing also teases colour options of Purple and Black in gradient finishes.

The Oppo K3's price in China starts at CNY 1,599 (roughly Rs. 16,100) for the base 6GB RAM + 64GB storage variant, while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant carries a price tag of CNY 1,899 (roughly Rs. 19,100). The top-end 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is priced at CNY 2,299 (roughly Rs. 23,200).

The dual-SIM (Nano) Oppo K3 boots ColorOS 6.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie. The Oppo K1 successor sports a 6.5-inch full-HD+ (1080x2340 pixels) AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and DC dimming feature. The phone also features an in-display fingerprint sensor backed by compensating projection technology for faster unlock speed.

The Oppo K3 is powered by the Snapdragon 710 SoC ticking alongside up to 8GB of RAM. The phone comes equipped with a 16-megapixel pop-up selfie camera. At the back is a 16-megapixel primary camera assisted by a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The phone packs a 3,765mAh battery with support for the company's VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

Lenovo-owned Motorola is believed to launch the Moto G6 lineup in April, which includes the Moto G6, Moto G6 Plus and Moto G6 Play smartphones. Now full specifications and features of the upcoming Moto devices have been spotted on a Hungarian site. Separately, Android Headlines has revealed some additional information about the new Moto G6 series as well. Moto G6 was previously leaked on Chinese certification site TENAA. Additionally, the device was spotted on the e-commerce platform Amazon in the UK. Killer Features has also put out the price of Moto G6 and Moto G6 Play.

Moto G6: Expected price, specifications and features

Moto G6 will feature a 5.7-inch IPS ‘Max Vision’ display (2160×1080 pixels) with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The screen will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. In terms of design, the Moto G6 will sport a 3D glass back with a splash-resistant P2i nano-coating protection. Moto G6 will be powered by an Octa-core Snapdragon 450 processor, clocked at 1.8GHz with Adreno 506 GPU. It will feature 4GB RAM and 64GB storage, expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. Moto G6 will launch with a starting price is $249 (Rs 16,000 approx).
Moto G6 will be backed by a 3,000mAh battery, with support for the company’s Turbo Charging technology. The phone will have 12MP+5MP dual rear camera and a 16MP front shooter. The dual-SIM device will run Android 8.0 Oreo. Moto G6 will support GPS, NFC and LTE. The fingerprint sensor will be embedded in the front-facing home button, below the display.
According to Android Headlines report, which quotes an ‘in-house Motorola document’, Moto G6 will have an Attentive display, which remains turned on when the user is looking at it. The phone will ship with Face Unlock feature, allowing users to unlock the device by looking at it. Moto G6 will have a big focus on camera software, with features like selective focus, Cutout, real-time animated face filters and more.

Moto G6’s selective focus feature will essentially let users background or foreground in images. The Cutout feature, on the other hand, will allow swapping of backgrounds in images. Powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI), the cameras on Moto G6 will be able to recognise object and scenes. Similar to Google Lens, users will be able to point Moto G6 camera to know more about objects or scan a document to save email, message, etc to their phone.

Motorola Moto G6 Play is listed with a 5.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1440×720 pixels. The dual-SIM smartphone will run Android 8.0 Oreo and come with support for a 3.5mm headset jack. Moto G6 Play will be powered by an Octa-core processor, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory, which will be expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card slot. Moto G6 Play will come with a 12MP primary camera and a 5MP front shooter. It will be backed by a 4,000mAh battery and support GPS, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 as well as LTE. The phone could be priced at $199 (Rs 13,000 approx).

Motorola G6 Plus will sport a 5.93-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels. The smartphone will pack an Octa-core Snapdragon 630 processor with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal memory. The storage will be expandable up to 256 GB via a microSD card slot. It will have 12MP+ 5MP dual rear cameras along with a 16MP front-facing camera. The dual-SIM smartphone will run Android 8.0 Oreo. It will come with support for Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, LTE and fingerprint reader. The battery on Moto G6 Plus will be a 3,200mAh one.

"Hey baby," leers a lecherous villain in Baaghi 2. "I mean bhabhi." You and I may groan, but this might be the kind of directness the heroine of the film actually appreciates, given how in college she rebuked a boy for tailing her ("I hate stalkers") but then commended him for speaking his mind. "Don't act desperate," she then warned, "I'll carry pepper spray." Then she turned away and laughed mischievously, as if the mere mention of mace is a sexual come-on.


When we meet the film's hero - the aforementioned indiscreet stalker - he is an Army Commando in Kashmir who ties a man to the front of his jeep and uses him as a human shield. Wow. It is the kind of thing I expected Hindi cinema to tackle at some point, but not in a Tiger Shroff film where his reasoning for this inhumanity is that somebody burned the Indian flag. As if the film's loathing for subtlety wasn't immediately clear enough, we then see that his commanding officer is played by a man who calls himself Grandmaster Shifu-Ji, a creator of hate-filled YouTube propaganda videos, whose own website lists him as a "Revolutionary Orator" and a "Freelance Mentor." God save us all.

A girl has been kidnapped but does she even exist? Baaghi 2 - technically a sequel to the entirely unrelated film Baaghi, and a remake of the Telugu hit Kshanam - has a decently twisty plot about kidnapping and deceit, one that could have worked in the hands of an actual filmmaker.


Choreographer Ahmed Khan isn't up to the task of making ineffective leads look like actors, which basically means storytelling via montages so clumsy you can all but hear the director's voice as the performers abruptly alter their expressions: "Now look sad, more sad, eyes lower." That kind of thing. In the film's first scene, where Disha Patani finds herself assaulted by masked men, she looks more confused than hurt: how, she seems to be asking herself in slow motion, can I look more vulnerable, more surprised, more in pain? (Look to us, miss. Look to our faces to see what being brained with a blunt object looks like.)

The lack of finesse hurts the actor. Tiger Shroff - who has the earnest likability of the one-stunt pony - is fine delivering flying kicks over a table, but Khan tries to make him appear emotionally driven, which translates to him grimacing when firing a machine gun - not the best look for a Rambo wannabe. The fight sequences are set to odd music, liberally use slow-motion, and rely too heavily on turn-by-turn choreography. Plus, the hero pauses in the middle of a fight to reverentially gaze at the Indian flag kept on a policeman's desk, while he bashes in both policeman and desk. Despite the actor's core strength being his core, most of these action scenes appear inexplicably late, long after the film has hammered us with weak melodrama and inexplicably poor writing.

Tiger tries hard to suck in his cheek, square his jaw and Jackie it up, but this mediocrity is too much for him to handle. Half the film involves him overwhelmed, while the other half has him beating up people and then using a Batman voice to growl "I'm looking for a little girl." Okay then. Patani, playing a high-strung role, is particularly insipid. "Have you seen my daughter?" the hysterical heroine asks, running from stranger to stranger in what looks like the parking lot of a shopping mall. "I don't know," says a man, understandably feigning a phone call to get away from this woman.

Shroff and Patani have very little on-screen chemistry, exemplified in a song sequence that shows us two youngsters who dance at each other instead of with each other, like rivals at a Zumba class. The posters of this film showed me two frighteningly fit youngsters and I thought maybe she'd get a chance to kick butt as well, but there is alas no dice. In fact, on the basis of this role and her work in MS Dhoni, Patani could well be in danger of being labelled the next Yami Gautam, a girl with a nice smile who rarely lasts the whole mile.

The extras seem to have walked in from Gold's Gym, but some familiar faces show up, like Randeep Hooda playing a cop who looks like an unemployed Rasta bassist (and who, refreshingly, gives zero damns whatsoever to the film) and Prateik Babbar, doing such an unconvincing job of being on drugs that the actor must be trying to assure us he doesn't know what they look like. In one scene, bona fide actors Deepak Dobriyal and Manoj Bajpayee sit across from each other possibly wondering why they're in this film. Later, one of them gets to lean on an honest-to-goodness Trojan Horse sculpture, while the other gets a line about Hyderabadis knowing their way around both biryani and qurbani.



It is a long, painful film capable of giving audiences post-traumatic stress disorder. Right when I thought Baaghi 2 couldn't possibly get worse, an electrocuted Jacqueline Fernandez showed up with a sickening take on Ek Do Teen. We're down for the count.
